The floating village

Just outside Siem Reap is the enormous Tonle Sap lake, home to stilt village communities like this one. We were lucky enough to see building in progress.

How they begin making these things I don't know, because the water is deep and the shore is far, far away.

Back on dry land, we were able to spend some time in a small village on the shores of the lake. We challenged the local lads to a game of volleyball, at which I was hopeless.
