Rabbit Island

Our very own desert island, just off the coast of Cambodia, near the border with Vietnam. It was used to be called Malaria Island, but strangely received fewer visitors back then.

Here's Joe with one of the islanders, who was the odd-job man for the bungalows we were staying in. When we wanted a drink, he'd scale one of the huge coconut trees bare-handed and chop down some coconuts for us. When we wanted to eat, he'd wade into the sea to empty the crab pots of their catch, which was practically cooked alive for us on the spot. Delicious.
